I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
Do you have any references for the material in this article? We welcome articles on verifiable subjects of encyclopedic significance, but under the no original research policy we can't accept essays about your own original ideas. 09:27, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia, which you are more than welcome to do. (aeropagitica) 15:12, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Please don't repost the above nonsense article with another title. (aeropagitica) 15:27, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Based on my recollection, I don't see that aeropagitica is obviously in the wrong here. If you believe this article was removed improperly you can list it at Wikipedia:Deletion review. If there are doubts as to whether it is original research, you should include sources for the article when you list it. Gazpacho 18:10, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Please do not post articles solely to attack the administrators. This may lead to you being blocked from Wikipedia. Thank you. DS 16:27, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
- Please don't re-add deleted articles to WP unless you have a reason. Wickethewok 06:15, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Some points of protocol
[edit]Firstly, when you leave a message on someone's talk page, you should always sign and datestamp it with the row of four tildes, thusly: ~~~~.
Secondly, as for articles such as the one you created on the canonical oscillator - those fall under our policy of "original research". Wikipedia is not the place for the information to be published for the first time; it has to be taken from somewhere else. An encyclopedia should never be a primary source.
Also, since the canonical oscillator et alia are your personal projects, it becomes difficult for you to be properly objective about them. For the same reason, we discourage authors from contributing articles on their own novels, or musicians from contributing articles on their own recordings.
I hope this will help you to understand why your articles have been removed. DS 13:44, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
RE: Your comments on my talk page
[edit]- I agree with aeropagitica's deletions. You really need to familiarize yourself with the nature and rules of WP as suggested by others on previous comments. Wickethewok 16:29, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree also - for a canonical oscillator I would like to see a description of a physical device rather than some tortuous verbal trick. Please note that it is firmly established here that users are allowed to hide behind the anonimity of a user name. Also since you make such a point of the fact the you are using your real name, why don't you create user:Brennig james to tell us about yourself and link to your website? -- RHaworth 20:21, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
If you would like to contribute to Wikipedia, please write verifiable and factual articles, rather than personal opinion pieces. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a publisher of original thought. Gazpacho 05:01, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- In case it wasn't clear, people will continue tagging your articles for deletion if it is obvious from reading them that they are editorials or original speculations. You will only waste your time by writing such articles. However, you are still welcome to contribute the kind of verifiable and factual articles that belong in an encyclopedia if you wish to do so. The welcome message at the top of this page has links that may be of use to you. Gazpacho 08:06, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Macco Principle
[edit]Hi - you seem to be still adding origional speculations such as Macco principle directly from your published writing on [[1]]. You seem to have some interesting thoughts that could be used in expanding verifyable articles but this sork of article doesn't belong on wikipedia and will continue to be deleted Peripitus 14:22, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
The article Canonical oscillator has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Subject seems to have been made up by page creator. No use of the combination "canonical oscillator" in the sense of this article can be traced on google. In fact, most uses refer to a "canonical oscillator" xxx, where the intent is that xxx is canonical and an oscillator.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TimothyRias (talk) 12:32, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
